Success Stories

I went in to have my eyebrows cleaned up and Jasmine was amazing. 2 months ago I had my eyebrows butchered by someone (different salon) & when I met with Jasmine, she let me know how to go forward with growing them out and maintaining them until they are right again. I will definitely be making her my permanent eyebrow gal.

Questions?

Read our frequently asked questions below to see if you can find the answer you're looking for!

Does waxing hurt?

In short, yes. There’s likely more than one reason why you’ve heard waxing treatments are painful, but the most painful part is also the most obvious: you’re ripping out multiple strands of hair. When the hair follicle is pulled from the hair shaft by a mechanical force, it triggers your nerve endings and causes the instant shock of pain. Though the pain will subside in a matter of seconds, the skin in the area of the hair removal might remain a bit tender for much longer.

How long should my hair be for waxing?

For waxing to be effective, hair must be at least 1/8 inch long, but an ideal length would be 1/4 inch.

How long does waxing last?

When successful, waxing removes hair from the root and can last up to six weeks. However, the skin isn't always hair-free for a full six weeks. In fact, most people actually see regrowth much sooner. How quickly hair regrows depends on several factors: the average hair growth cycle, your personal hair growth cycle, breakage, and how frequently you get a wax.

What should I avoid before getting waxed?

Any item containing Vitamin A (retinol) saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools, and other heated sources for at least 48 hours. Do not use exfoliating products (AHAs, scrubs, etc) and loofas for at least 24 hours after waxing as they might further irritate your skin. Avoid tight clothing after waxing, especially in the waxed areas. Tight clothing may result in irritation and ingrown hairs.

Can I wax when I am pregnant or breast feeding?

Yes you can. This is not dangerous and will help you feel better about yourself.

What areas can be waxed?

Any area where you grow hair. It is most common for the brows, upper lip, chin, sideburns, underarms, arms, legs, bikini, and Brazilian.

Can waxing be performed with other services?

It is an ideal treatment to add on to a facial, peel, massage, wrap, scrub, or IPL treatment.
